These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website liftdetroitjunk.com and all services provided by Lift Detroit LLC, doing business as Lift Detroit Junk ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Lift Detroit Junk provides junk removal services in Oakland and Macomb Counties, Michigan. Our services include residential and commercial junk removal, furniture removal, appliance removal, garage and basement cleanouts, estate and whole-house cleanouts, and related hauling services.
We currently serve communities in Oakland and Macomb Counties, including Royal Oak, Birmingham, Troy, Sterling Heights, Warren, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills, Shelby Township, Ferndale, Madison Heights, Berkley, Clawson, Hazel Park, Oak Park, Southfield, Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield, Waterford, Pontiac, Rochester, and Lake Orion. Service area boundaries are subject to change. If your location falls outside our service area, we will let you know when you book or request an estimate.
Estimates provided through our website, AI estimator tool, phone consultations, or any other channel are non-binding estimates only. They are intended to give you an approximate cost based on the information available at the time of the estimate.
The final price for any job is always confirmed on-site by our crew before any work begins. You will have the opportunity to approve the final price before we start. If you do not agree with the on-site price, you are under no obligation to proceed and will not be charged.
Factors that may cause the final price to differ from an estimate include, but are not limited to: the actual volume and weight of items, items not visible or disclosed during the estimate, special disposal requirements (heavy materials, tires, appliances requiring refrigerant recovery), access difficulty (stairs, narrow pathways, long carry distances), and items requiring disassembly.
If the actual load is smaller than estimated, your price will be adjusted downward accordingly.
Certain materials require special handling and disposal, which may result in surcharges beyond the base volume price. These include but are not limited to tires, dirt, soil, concrete, brick, pavers, and appliances containing refrigerant (refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units, dehumidifiers). All applicable surcharges will be disclosed and confirmed with you on-site before work begins.
For safety and regulatory reasons, we cannot remove the following materials: paint, stain, and solvents; motor oil and automotive fluids; full or partially full propane tanks; asbestos-containing materials; medical and biohazard waste; car batteries; and ammunition or explosives. If you are unsure whether we can take a specific item, please contact us before booking.
Our website provides an AI-powered photo estimation tool that uses artificial intelligence to analyze images you upload and provide approximate junk removal cost estimates. This tool is provided for informational and convenience purposes only. AI estimates are not guaranteed to be accurate and do not constitute a binding quote, an agreement to perform services at any specific price, or a professional appraisal of items or materials.
The AI estimator may misidentify items, misjudge volumes, or fail to account for factors not visible in photos. You should not rely solely on AI estimates for budgeting or financial planning. The on-site crew assessment and price confirmation is the authoritative quote for all jobs.
When you book a service through our website or by phone, you are requesting an appointment for our crew to arrive at the specified location and time. We will make reasonable efforts to honor your requested scheduling preferences, but appointment times may be subject to change due to weather, crew availability, or other operational factors. We will notify you of any changes as soon as possible.
You may cancel or reschedule a booking at any time before the crew arrives on-site at no charge. If you cancel after the crew has arrived and begun work, you will be responsible for the cost of any work already completed.
Payment is due upon completion of the job. We accept credit and debit cards and ACH bank transfers through our invoicing system. Cash and checks are accepted on-site. All prices quoted are in U.S. dollars and do not include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
We take care to protect your property during the removal process. However, junk removal involves physical labor in varied conditions, and minor cosmetic damage (scuffs, marks) can occasionally occur when moving heavy or bulky items through tight spaces. We are not liable for pre-existing damage to items being removed, damage to items you have asked us to dispose of, or damage caused by conditions you did not disclose (such as structural weaknesses, hidden obstacles, or unstable surfaces).
If our crew causes damage to your property beyond normal wear during the removal process, please notify us within 48 hours and we will work with you to resolve the matter fairly.
When engaging our services, you represent that you have the legal authority to authorize the removal of the items specified, the items being removed are your property or you have authorization from the owner to dispose of them, you have disclosed any known hazards, special materials, or access difficulties that may affect the job, and all information you provide (including photos submitted to the estimator) is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.
